kcalBeef Tehari is a popular and flavorful rice dish from Bangladesh, combing aromatic Basmati Rice with tender Beef and rich spices. This recipe brings Restaurant-style taste straight to your home kitchen.
Ingredients
3 Cups Basmati Rice
700gm Beef (with bone)
3 Onion (thinly slice)
1 tbsp Giger Paste
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
3 tbsp plain yogurt
Salt to Taste
½ tbsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
2-3 pieces of cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves
1 tbsp Kewra Water (optical for aroma)
2 tbsp Ghee
½ tbsp Oil
Water as Needed
Instructios :
Wash the rice and soak it for 30 minutes.
In a pan, heat oil and fry the onions until golden brown. (Remove half for garnish)
Add ginger and garlic paste to the oil, then add beef pieces. saute for a few minutes.
Add turmeric, chilli powder, salt, and garam masala cook well.
Add yogurt and half the fried onions. Mix and ook for 10 minutes.
Add water as needed and cover to cook until the beef becomes tender.
Add the soaked rice and adjust water level so rice can cook properly but not get mushy.
Add ghee remaining fried onions, and kewra water. Cover and cook on low heat (dum) for about 20 minutes.
Oce done gently mixed and serve hot with salad or yogurt raita.
Important Notes
- Adjust chilli level as per your taste.
- Used aged basmati rice for better texture.
- Adding Ghee and Kewra water add the end boosts flavior and aroma.
